Product creation is a vital aspect of efficient inventory management. Skustack provides you with a structured process for assigning unique identifiers to each product you create, ensuring streamlined catalog management.

The Kitting module is located within Skustack’s Products tab and enables you to assemble or disassemble independent kits. Seamlessly package items together or break them down into individual components, ready for sale and shipment.

Product flags are a valuable tool that allows you to indicate issues related to an item’s condition or packaging. For example, an item can be flagged as defective or open box, highlighting specific concerns.

Catalog and product management are essential aspects of everyday warehouse operations, particularly when it comes to maintaining an accurate and up-to-date record of all the products in your inventory. Seamlessly update dimensions, print product or case labels, view serial numbers, manage expiration dates, and more.

A serial number is a unique identifier assigned to a product or device. It is used to distinguish and track individual items within a larger set or inventory. Serial numbers are typically alphanumeric codes that are assigned by the manufacturer and they are usually found on various items such as electronics (e.g., smartphones, computers), appliances, and more.

Skustack is the primary tool used to manage lot numbers and expiration dates. There are various scenarios where you will need to deal with lot numbers and expiration dates, such as when expirable inventory is received (e.g., receiving POs or transfers, positive adjustments, etc.), where a lot number/expiry date needs to be added.

A kit is typically comprised of multiple individual items that may have different lot numbers and expiration dates and it is critical to ensure that the kit is not sold or used after the earliest expiration date for any of its component items. By tracking the lot number and expiration date at the component level, you reduce the risk of expired or soon-to-expire items being shipped out to customers.

When moving inventory between different warehouse locations, merging stock, or consolidating inventory from different sources, you may need to transfer inventory or import new inventory counts. The Import Product Info feature within the Skustack Admin allows you to seamlessly import this information in bulk, instead of entering each transfer or count individually.
